Squishing Aphids

On my balcony I am growing some blueberries, an eggplant, some kitchen herbs and some peppers.

Things have been blissfully bug free until yesterday when I discovered that aphids covered the area of the young peppers and their stems. I didn't have any safe bug killer spray so I went for the only other organic method I could trust. I squished the ( Read more... )

Now I have to google and aphid. I'm glad you saved the peppers. It's survival of the fittest. You did good!

I googled aphids and I seen them before I just never knew what they wre called.

It's also crazy how ants are such good buddies with them.

I had that problem too, with ants, not sure about the aphids though, didn't notice them. I got a bug spray that was safe for plants and other animals, one of those green types and it works. No more ants, at all. I'm vigilant with not having ants on my plants because they are indoor by my window. Hope yours will grow well and healthy!

Aphids are bad bad bad....hate them! Grrr.

As an aside...if you sent me the photo..I never received it....I've discovered facebook, so its eating up a lot of free time!
