I got this recipe from the blog "My Persian Kitchen" and it is excellant. The zuchinni cooks down quite a bit in the process of getting rid of the excess water. I plan to make batches of the onion, zuchinni and tumeric stage (before eggs are added) and freeze them for winter use. Critter report: Lot of birds! Goldfinch feeder moved to the garden ladder and today I saw one on it so more should be coming soon. Robins and house wrens nested in yard. Saw morning dove (I think) eggs shells. Surprisingly no house sparrows this year (yay). Evidence of deer (poop and stuff eaten over the fense and tall stuff nipped in the ( Read more... )

Following a comment from Lometa about her dad digging carrot shaped holes to plant carrots in.... I reseeded about 24 round carrot holes made with ice cream scoop with pinch of carrot seeds from SS in bed 2. The "almost" is because Jenny Lind heritage melons were planted after this photo to the left of the corn. The things not in the boxes are planned succession crops for lettuce, radish, and broccoli areas plus more basil to inter-crop with peas and an oregano that needs to go in at a path end.
