The essential Billy-and-Dom relationships remains, and the sexual tension (and release) is wonderful. (About 5,000 words per chapter, 6/10 chapters).
"Unexpected" by canciona (Billy/Dom)Set in New Zealand, Billy's been fantasizing about Dom, and he finally decides to get him a little drunk and see what happens. Full of uncertain tension wrapped with hope, this ficlet is wonderful and intense. (Written for the Lotrips Remix 2007)
Unnamed (aka The Geoff/Shark Fic) AU by strawberryelfspGeoffrey (Dom's character in Hetty Wainthropp Investigates) meets The Loan Shark (Billy's character in Urban Ghost Story). They both recognize the attraction, and act on it, the Shark rather terrorizing Geoffrey. They meet again, by choice, and... it's different.
Unresolved, by sonata-nightSexual tension from both Dom and Billy's point of view, very effective and intense. Despite the title, it's resolved.

"Waiting" by marrymemerryIn the style of Brokeback Mountain, set in 2006, they talk around some things, they acknowledge what's happened but the tension is underneath all the time. And the sex has a tinge of desperation.
wanking ficlet, by lavitanuovaThis is fantastic, full of vivid images and lovely tension. So many perfect lines, it works so well, their words as awkward as real life, Billy responding to Dom's signals and then wondering... And the end! Wonderful twist there, cheerful and reassuring.
"We'll Always Have Paris" by unstealthy (Bllly/Dom)AU in which Billy, an office worker visiting Thailand, meets his old lover, Dom. This does such a good job of playing with expectations, every time I thought it was going to turn into a cliche, it surprised me.

When Next I Ask the Time, by kiltsandlollies (Dom/Billy)Set in New Zealand, during principal filming, tense and wonderful. It pulled me in hard and fast, I didn't want to let it go, which fits with the story….

"You're A Map Of A Place Maybe Someday I'll Go" series by pip (Billy/Dom)Set in a 2005 in which Billy and Ali break up, lots of angst and UST. The series is complete, 21 chapters, about 60,000 words.
Zenith and Nadir, by philomel Dom/Billy (with Dom/Evangeline, Billy/Ali)Dominic considers love and age. The first-person narration works, partly because it is a meditation. And the images are both vivid and affecting, they really mean something. "folding into love" is one of the most wonderful phrases I've read in ages.
