I should get some pictures of the Delaware Water Gap sometime. It is not as impressive in elevation, but it is a beautiful, beautiful piece of my region.
We WERE up pretty high. That's actually not even half-way through the trail, too! I think at the pass it's something like 12,000 feet, but we didn't make it that far. We probably only made it to 10,500 or so.
Highest I have ever been is about 3,000 feet. The Appalachians are the bunny-slope of mountain chains quite honestly. I live at 2,000 feet though, which would make you think that I would have more energy when I um, visit with Meg than I actually do.
Meg took me hiking up the mountain once. Worst day of my life. It took $12 worth of McDonalds' food to get my energy back.
