I’ve been reading too much Patrick O’Brian. The other day I was at the mall and I overheard two women talking. One said to the other, “…they put on more sales.” And I had the overwhelming urge to ask “Topgallants or Staysails?”

Well yesterday was exciting! First of all my hubby and I planned to go canoeing to celebrate being out of college for the summer. I haven’t been canoeing since I was a kid. Went to Dixie Stampede today. It wasn’t my idea. It was a Girl Scout function. The horses were pretty, but I didn’t like how they glamorized the civil war. *sigh* I wanted to celebrate tomorrow being my first day of summer by going canoeing with Erik, but Josie is sick. I took her to her doctor this morning, strep throat, and an ear infection. Poor little thing. She's doing better though, and has been rather perky all day--but no school till Monday. Which of course makes her very happy.

Yesterday I saw a man park his convertible car-he then rolled up the windows, turned off the car, got out, and locked the car with his “keyless” key fob….but he left the top of his car down.

I was so tempted to ask him what were his reason for rolling up the windows and locking his car if he left the top down. But I decided I’d rather not know.

Josie lost a tooth last night; and as always she put it in an envelope and addressed it too the Tooth Fairy…Well the tooth fairy forgot to leave her a dollar under her pillow (I was so sleepy last night that I went to bed early last night and forgot about the tooth.) needless to say Josie was crushed this morning when she went to check under her ( Read more... )
