I am really sad that this is the last HPEF convention, but I figured I would go for broke and do everything.  Like read fanfic.  And be in the fashion show.  And stuff and things.

No one’s ever going to believe me on this one, but the best thing happened.

cat vid for the win! At infinitus I could not hear anything in the forbidden journey ride line. too much noise. went in the winter with my Dad, no lines, no noise.

I have yet to have a guy try and pick me up when I am dressed as Snape. ;>

Aww, i'm glad you got to do so many things. Being the last HPEF convention, I'm happy I went and I'm happy with what I did there, as well.

It sounds like you had a really good time! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. Except for Egg Dude. But then, don't we all have an Egg Dude story? And hey, if you got an amusing story out of the low point of your vacation, it was still a great vacation!

Pony with the castle! Another fandom has people taking pictures of lemons at famous locales. o___O We all have our things.

I'm not sure why the upsurge in MLP? Are they re-booting it or something?

Looks like a fine time and yeah, I'm the same way about talking up people at restaurants/bars... there's always a time when I wish I would have thought better and wonder how I can GET OUT!

Oh, yeah. They rebooted MLP with Generation Four. The new show is called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I know it sounds dumb --- "ponies! Friendship is oh so magical!" and then I realized that in the world of MLP as Lauren Faust created it, friendship is literally magical. It makes things happen. So you get six badass m-fing ponies breaking in to face off against the villain, bound by friendship, which rang some bells.

They don't all correspond, and it's not as good as HP by a hell of a long way, but the show creators clearly love HP. If nothing else, Twilight Sparkle is pretty much what Hermione Granger would be if Hermione Granger were a purple unicorn.

I only noticed the tape measure cat just as I was about to leave, and I was so glad I did - just one of many cool little details, but to a cat person this was one of the best!
