Nostalgia is going away for a while and returning home to your favorite meal, but when you bite into it there is no flavor and your brain scrambles to figure out what is wrong.

Argh. That pretty much sums things up. Exams are providing a decent distraction at the moment, but I'm still feeling this strange stir of emotions. My life a few months ago seems worlds away. And a year ago? Outside this universe. It's not that I've matured as a person or grown or anything like that. It just seems so long ago. I go through this every once in a while I guess, and I'm sort of at a new place. I'm about to jump and I can't wait to see where I land.

Something I haven't been accused of in a while is being self centered. Why is that a bad thing? Because I shelf my own personal interests when people want the same things I do.

Not anymore.

So a while ago I called myself a "has been" and life spent the last two weeks proving me wrong. A constant metaphor I have been using to describe my social life is planets in orbit.
