Oh boy dirty Mort pics .. my fave!admanMay 12 2013, 22:17:36 UTC
An a fine house/flowers/yard/farm/views/gardens/fence/hammock/BBQ/shed/trees it is Mort.
I love that you have land all around yews (and the staring cows of course). My first shack years ago was up by Fuller lake with a bit-O-land in a hobby farm hood and I LOVED that area just for the sake of the land buffer between me and da udders in da hood. Where you can sit out and do a doobie and not worry where the tell tale smoke drifts.
There's a privacy respect folks with land around them have for each udder and for the most part leave em alone. Ifin you need em or their tractor to roto till yer garden er plow out yer half mile driveway in the 8 foot snows of 06 these same folks are there for you and you for them with live entertainment of your ongoing shenanigans and face splats off yer wee lectric bike.
There are only 5 houses on the road I live on (and 4 of them are on the farm) but we are all spread out. I can do what evvvver I want in the yard and nobody but the staring cows can see *vink*
I also can't see anything my neighbors get up to, too. Plus, how many people can say that they have a Pet Sematary in the back 66?
I wanna come hang out in your garden and eat the barbecued goodness and stare back at the cows and laugh with you 'til I have to run into the bushes to pee. Or to the bathroom, whichever is closest. What a beautiful spot you have created, Morty. Thanks for the walk.
I had to shield the cows'esess eyes from the BBQ'd goodness just in case it was a distant relative.
Surprisingly, it's a lot of work to look after just a half acre of yard and I spend a couple of hours a day on yard work - work for the ol' back but it's more like yard PLAY to me. This is only May when just a few of the flowers are actually out. I will do an update when more show up.
And thank you for coming with me on my walk about the yard!
Yes, it's quite lovely here. Lots of privacy, not too busy like Victoria. Every time I go to Victoria (where I grew up actually) I really appreciate where I live and can't wait to come home again.
