Since switching to a mostly-organic diet, I've lost nearly 10 pounds. I wasn't expecting that. It makes me wonder just what I've been putting into my body all these years, even when I thought I was eating healthy. Unfortunately, I've lost some strength, as well. Processed foods have phantom calories thanks to near zero work required for gut absorption.

As to your mystery pain, speaking from my by-no-means-a-doctor, physiologically educated marathon man background, what you describe sounds like a ligament or tendon that's complaining of overuse. You might be able to target it with some stretching or massage with the help of a PT or trainer.
