Maybe I won't be in limbo for long. I received an offer letter today for the developer position. The salary is exactly what I'm making now. I'm trying to negotiate up. Early signs are positive. I'm taking the job at any rate.

SAIC decided to challenge the contract award to Lockheed Martin. I don't know on what grounds. The challenge can take up to 100 days to resolve. The SAIC contract will be bridged until the challenge is settled. This means that I may be in employment limbo for another 130 days -- the 100 days to resolve the dispute plus a 30 day transition ( Read more... )
