The GoodAfter swapping rotors and thoroughly cleaning out the brake calipers, the bike now feels rock solid trail braking into turns. With the Yoyodyne slipper clutch, and I can bomb deeeeeep into turns on the brakes, with the chassis completely settled. I found a way to nab the low-res sample images from the Photo Chambers website, which took photographs at the Vineman Half Ironman triathlon. They made it a little tricky, as they disabled right clicking, hid the URLs to links, and even disabled my laptop's ability to screen capture (as well as it's ability to copy text).

So I brought the GSX-R forks to a suspension shop to be resprung and rebuilt.

Estimate was right around $400.

There are some things I miss about the sport of motorcycling. The cost isn't one of them...

A few different people on my friends list posted links to the Jake Brown skateboard crash. Frightening stuff.

Coming onto the back straight at Thunderhill Raceway last weekend, one of the riders lost control of his bike. It threw him off where he slid out of harms way, but his bike continued down the track on its side. It laid right in the middle of the track, as the turn workers scrambled into action ( Read more... )

Last week, I was able to do a shakedown run on my GSX-R750 at Thunderhill Raceway with Keigwins@theTrack. I also had the chance to work with a few riders as a guest instructor, who posted their feedback on a local internet forum. They were pretty jazzed about it!
