I think it's nice that she respects your decision. Most people could say one thing and not honestly mean it. My advice to you, though, is to not share it with her. Especially if you're doubting it yourself. Let it be something you share with yourself and yourself only. Sure, there are us, strangers, reading it, but who are we anyway? ;)

having had girlfriends reading my journal in the past... I can tell you that it's headache inducing. I like to keep it real in my journal, but it always caused problems.

Maybe it was because of the women I dated, so I can't say the same would happen in your case.

Either way, my advice is to keep it just for yourself.

on one hand, it seems like the honest thing to do is to let her read, on the other hand, hre reading might also compromise the honesty. i don't know.

I think the first think to consider is who you are or would be writing for -- yourself or her.

well it's tricky, enit? because i write for myself and myself only, but if i let her read, would that change?

unlike most of my previous relationships which, for one reason or another, were largely conducted through the written word, she and i don't write to/for each other much. so there is no written dynamic, no precendent. in other words, i don't know.
