Picking up some gay cowboys is not as easy as you think.

This morning I overslept a bit. I debated calling in, I can’t say I was that “sick” but I wasn’t feeling 100%, but instead I called and left a message for my supervisor saying that I’d woken up late and I’d be in about ½ hour late. Turns out I got ready considerably quicker than I’d estimated and I wasn’t going to be as late as I thought. Well, ( Read more... )

Walmart Sucks anonymous April 4 2006, 18:47:09 UTC
You go girl! Write that letter, create a stir! Hello Walmart, it was just an Oscar and every other award winning movie!
What a shitty morning...what's funny is that I bet some people will be uncomfortable buying it b/c they will fear what others will think about them...(similar to how i have felt standing in the "self help, gay/lesbian" section of the bookstore!, which I have recently overcome!)
Yeah to Target! I love shopping there!

In short, Walmart sucks, and I never, ever, EVER shop there, because they are bigoted assholes and I hope that whoever is in charge of the company breaks his or her ankle tonight.

That being said, you HAVE to write to them. The reason they cater to close-minded, sheltered, oft-times ignorant right-wing Christians is because those people are always the ones who speak loudest and BITCH, BITCH, BITCH. Liberal minded people need to write to stores like that fucking corporate whore and let them know our feelings too.

You are wise to go to Target, because they donate far more to liberal causes and don't just cater to the Bible Belt. I have to say I'm surprised to hear about this sort of display at a Walmart in New York, but then again, the stores are probably similar throughout the country. God, I hate that fucking store and I'm so glad I'm going on three years without going in. Pricks.

Going against my better judgment, which, I must admit, happens far too often, I ventured into VT's first (but unfortunately, not last) Wal*Mart this evening and felt obliged to tell you that the Narnia, Kong and Brokeback displays were all featured prominently at the front of the Electronics Department. There appeared to be no discriminatory actions at work. Apparently, and surprisingly, individual Wal*Marts have some freedom with which to operate. With that said, if there was a Target nearby, I'd be using it because Target always trumps Wal*Mart.
