Pixar trailers rarely excite me. There are exceptions - the ad campaign for Wall-E pretty much guaranteed that it was Pixar's finest hour (and it was) - but overall I've often felt with each new announcement of the idea that this would be the one that Pixar failed to deliver, either in terms of box office or critical acclaim. Cars was a total dud. Aside from that one, though, you're spot-on. Pixar is genius.

I haven't seen it, Hannah says it's awesome, and I know it was at least financially successful.

I think we're going to rent it next week.

Personally I think Monsters Inc is the weakest of all the Pixar films I've seen. I'm not crazy about Nemo either, and Bug's Life in retrospect seems pretty empty, although I remember loving it back in the day.

Lately though they've just been on fire. Since The Incredibles, really. Ratatouille was unexpectedly amazing, and Wall-E is just sublime.

YES. :) yes yes yes. sign me up. that's why i loved the first half of wall-e so much. i want more of that. it was so amazing, and so gorgeous.
