Gambit was supposed to be in it; they wanted Josh Holloway (Sawyer from 'Lost') to play him. He turned down the part because he thought the part was too much like his 'Lost' character and didn't want to be typecast. Which I think is bullshit, because if you're on a tv show, you're going to be typecast no matter what. But, they didn't want anyone else playing the part, so they just cut him from the movie.
