I noticed a hot guy in one of my classes tonight and of course my first instinct was to check his left hand to see if he had a ring. I didn't see a ring but of course he must be either engaged or living with someone since that's apparently a requirement for grad school.

Next month will be two years since I graduated college. In just under two weeks, I will finish my penultimate semester of grad school, and my twelfth total semester at GW. Lately I really find myself missing college, and I think maybe I haven't really accepted that it's really over. Looking back, senior year seems so wonderful and perfect; where did that feeling go? I'm going to the Eagles game on Sunday! I won two tickets from work, and apparently the seats are amazing so I am really excited. Also, my dad managed to get someone at work to switch with him so he's going to drive down and go with me! Now I just need to remember to have him bring my Westbrook jersey when he comes and it will be an awesome day.

I am drunk right now and I just got home from work. We had a Christmas tree decorating party with wine and I am very glad that my class got cancelled. Now I get to sober up before the happy hour that I promised to go to. I love my job. :)

My mom wants grandchildren. Like right now. I've known this for some time, but lately she's really been harping on it. Just because women in my family have a tendency to be grandmothers before the age of 40 (my grandmom was 36 and my aunt was 37) does not mean that my mom is going to be an old grandmom. I just read an article on washingtonpost.com about how gay couples are entitled to the same rights as straight couples. While this won't necessarily lead to gay marriage, as least it's a step in the right direction; in the meantime, in less than two weeks Virginians will be voting on an amendment to write discrimination into the state constitution ( Read more... )
