Why is there such a long break in my godforsaken entries?!?! How will I remember how I spent this two-week crux of my life, if I don't copy it down copiously in the e-tome of LiveJournal!?!?

Yeah, I didn't really accept that 00s Wonka should reconcile with his dad, when his dad was such a prick, but I preferred it to 70s Wonka screaming "YOU LOSE!" like an even bigger prick.

1. i did the same thing with h.p. that your brother did. but don't tell matt.
2. what on earth made you cry in charlie and the chocolate factory?? maybe i'm forgetting something. anyway, yes, i really liked this version better overall except for two things: flashbacks were manipulative and boring, and i didn't like johnny depp. sue me.

1.) Matt had naught but disdain for me when I told him I was rereading the fifth one in preparation for the sixth, too.

2.) Ellen, I cry easily at scenes in movies, books, plays, television shows, etc. where families are caring, compassionate, and selfless. When Charlie's other grandfather gave him the money/ticket speech and asked him, "Only a dummy would give that up. Are you a dummy?" And Charlie said, "No, sir." I almost lost it. My brother did too, so I'm not alone on this!

mayhap you could arrange a stop in Louisville to have dinner w/ me at somepoint either on the way to or fro Indiana? K-stan may be coming to visit in that general time frame as well...let me know.
