I actually read Cat's Cradle. It really is one of the absolute best books I've ever read. Vonnegut is fab. It's good and wacky and serious but not all at the same time.

Did I tell you I put this on hold at my library? Just waiting for them to tell me to pick it up.

I'm listening to The Thirteenth Tale right now. Man, I love that book.

I listened to it about six months ago. I love how they have two narrators, I think it gives a whole different dimension to the book. It really is such a fabulous story! I hope you like Among Others. If you liked Cat's Cradle, I should put it on my to-read list. I tried to listen to The Sirens of Titen, but didn't finish it. I lost interest. I loved Slaughterhouse Five, though. It was amazing.

I read Among Others earlier this year, and got to meet Jo Walton at a book signing.

If you are interested, I compiled a list of all the titles mentioned in the book. It is posted on her LJ blog: http://papersky.livejournal.com/509278.html
and on mine:

I had not remembered who'd recommended this book to me, and now looking back at your lj, I realize it was you! Thank you so much, I truly loved this book and have already recommended it to several people. Your bibliography is lovely, and just what needed to be done :)
