CHICAGO RAILROAD PLATFORM

Two somewhat unattractive women are making their way down the platform, both with hefty legs in rolled stockings, short dresses, coats with cheap fur pieces, and rakish cloche hats. One of the pair is carrying a saxophone case; the other a bull-fiddle, and each have a Gladstone bag.

The street is covered with snow. John and Ford, without overcoats, the collars of their tuxedos turned up against the bitter cold, come down the steps of the elevated train, carrying their instruments. Well, I'm doing a bit better. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I'm hoping it goes good, though we have had a bit of a scare last month, but we lucked out, no blood clot, just normal swelling...if you can call any swelling normal ( Read more... )

Is anyone actually reading this? I was told to do a LJ and to post stories here. I posted one and got no response. I did better on a reg archieve. I don't know much about these things and I don't think anyone wants to hear/read me ranting on the daily grind of my life...so ( Read more... )
