In a strange turn of events, 20 people were let go from our "National Operating Center" in Texas. Unfortunately this will not take the wind out of their sails -- they think they're God's gift to our industry. Sister's dog is here for the weekend. Check.
Palm tree "bushes" outside cleared a bit to avoid Possum infestation. Check.
Cupcakes with caramel center and buttercream frosting in fridge. Check.
Abby vaccinated and back home still healthy and happy. Double check.
Groceries done and bank account lowered. Check.
Yup. Going well so far. :)

I love the Harry Potter site 'Pottermore' so far, but there's one big stinkin' issue. They have this really cool "Potions" section where you have to go through the motions of making Potions, for House Points. So you'll crush some stuff and put it in your cauldron and add stuff and heat the potion and tap it with your wand and then... you have to ( Read more... )

Spent last week in Disney World with Carrie. Hopefully I can put together an album soon similar to my Wizarding World photos. :) We ran into a few random character parades that had us GIDDY, as well as the PRIME spot for the parade/show/fireworks at Magic Kingdom. BUT this was probably my most giggletastic moment. I LOVE Monsters Inc.

There was one, it claimed to list what initially attracted one person to another in order of what was most important. There were, y'know, looks, smile, eyes, wit, junk like that, but the number one thing was 'total package'. Yesterday, on a drive down the turnpike, we came to a sudden stop in traffic. We were close enough to see that a state trooper had his vehicle parked in the center lane (of three) and in front of his vehicle there was something completely smashed in the road ( Read more... )
