Trudged home from work today as usual - booted up my PC and downloaded e-mail while throwing my tea in the oven.  As usual, there was a great long list of spam in the sapm folder and - again as usual - I ran my eye down the list in case my filter had shunted something  across that I actually wanted.

I was in Westminster today.  Had an excellent meeting, albeit slightly sad because it's the last time that particular group of people will work together that way.  Said all my goodbyes and 'nice working with you' and headed home, hoping that I could get home, because the rail service on the West coast line has been a little subject to flooding just ( Read more... )

I've been working on my City and Guilds embroidery diploma for ... oh, years. Quite literally years - during which time I have changed job, taken up working 114 miles from home and started work on my Doctorate. I like to be kept busy, you see. :-)

I bought a new Digital camera today.  It's the size (and shape) of a credit card ...

Okay, so it's just a snapshot device, and the picture quality is nowhere near that of my older but far more expensive camera, but ... a camera.  Small and slim enough to fit into a pocket.  Just the right size to tug out and sneakily snap secret blueprints with.  ( Read more... )
