Went "Aldine" today...
My third period is cray cray! I have my room split in two and I literally have one half of the class that acts the way they should and the other half acts like it's time to party! So after a good Come to Jesus conversation with them, I called five parents and wrote up three kids. Good times! Thank goodness I only see them every other day!

Great friggin' weekend
So happy that the football was actually enjoyable this weekend! The game itself was almost boring and that's just fine with me.
Hans and I got some alone time today since Lilia spent the night with Amber.
Back to work tomorrow...good times

Suck it up!
So, this year has been fairly crazy but it got even crazier on Monday. One of our brand new teachers has decided to quit. Friday is her last day. Her reason for quitting: she's pregnant...that's it! I mean come the fuck on. Her leaving puts the rest of us in a real bind. Myself and the other skills specialist have to take over two of her classes. ( Read more... ) -

I just want to teach. No more dyslexia specialist, skills specialist, problem solver, mentor, inventory keeper...nothing!

It's not like the weight just climbed on top of me in the middle of the night, I was just amazed at the number.

Feeling crappy
Went in to my endocrinologist for my three month check up today and I was convinced that my thyroid was outta whack because I've been super tired lately. When he pulled up my blood tests, I was right in the normal range. I couldn't believe it. I told him how tired I'd been lately because in the past that's usually meant something.
