public entry on pregnancy

Justine's water did not break. She has a high leak but the cervix is still plugged and long and closed. The leak made her think that her water had completely broken. While this is good news, it also means that a particular protocol will be followed. So she is now bedridden in the hospital on a cocktail of drugs with IV's and crazy stuff like ( Read more... )

Hi Larry,

I hope you all are okay. I don't think I've seen any recent public posts on Justine's journal, but I'd be happy to post a link to this entry to each of her friends on this entry, if you think that's appropriate. I could also post it on her wall on Facebook.

Love you guys very very much... if I hadn't just started this new job, I'd be down there helping out with the Iggy-monster, and making dinner for everyone. Take care and breathe deeply!

Love,

Kathleen

I think everyone will know soon enough but thanks for offering.

And I think we're getting a lot of help. But just keep thinking of us. Thanks so much.

Hey Larry - another old RMC buddy of Justine's, just tell her we love her, k? you and Iggy hang in there. Is it weird for me to give you a hug when I don't know you? Sorry man, I am sending you one anyway.

Hi, Larry. I'm Leslie, another friend of Justine's from RMC. Please give her my love and let her know that Lucy and the two of you are in my prayers. I'm sending out some seriously "sticky baby" prayers.

Oh and please tell Justine that I got Chas (my 2.5yo granddaughter, born at 28-29 weeks) to say "stay put, Lucy!" which she proceeded to turn into an intricate toddler dance.

Thanks for the update, Larry! I spent a while online last night reading about 29-30 week babies that grew up happy, healthy and problem-free. Still vibing all of you. You can do it!

I'm pretty optimistic about Lucy. She's ridiculously strong.

Also, is there anything that we could get for Iggy to help him through this time - some special toy (DS?) or a stack of new movies or anything that might occupy and distract him during this time?

If you think that there might be some things that would help, please don't hesitate to let us know, k?

great idea, leslie! count me in on this if there's anything in particular that you think Iggy would love right now.

Not exactly sure what that would be, but maybe when Justine is online in a few hours, she will have an idea.
