My eye surgery went well! Everything's still extremely blurry on that side, so reading's still kind of uncomfortable and I wouldn't like to try driving a car yet, but they've assured me it'll get better over the next few days, and should go more or less completely back to normal over the next weeks ( Read more... ) -

Hey guys, you know what's a super fun diversion on your way to the eye clinic for further testing on your scary eye disease? Overheating your car's engine in the middle of a giant crowded tunnel. Oh how I'm loling right now.

Got some lovely news from my ophthalmologist today. Apparently I have a progressive eye disease called Keratoconus in both my eyes. It means the cornea, the transparent protective layer on top of the eye, will gradually deform more and more and cause increasingly bad distortion of vision.
