A certain euphoria is attained when one is in a dark room, the only illumination coming from neon strobe lights. The bodies of strangers press close and everyone is moving to the same beat while limbs strain to maintain the frantic pace. Heads are thrown back and eyes slide shut. Where are my fucking sprinkles?!
Today is my fiancé’s birthday and I’m going to do something for him that I very seldom do. I’m going to bake. Cooking, baking and/or preparing food in any manner is just not something I enjoy. If I can’t just unwrap it and shove it in my mouth, I want nothing to do with it.

As everyone in the HP fandom should know, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was recently released on DVD. The shippers we got in at work for them were pretty cool lookin’ and I demanded to keep them for my very own once the displays were to be taken down. I am now the proud owner of a giant cardboard Harry Potter.

I spent the morning reading H/D fics and working myself into a gloriously melancholy mood. After said reading, I laid upon the floor contemplating the beauty of carefully arranged words of pain, grief and hope. Oh, Live Journal, I am so sick. I can’t breath through my nose, I have a mild fever and my throat hurts so bad I can’t even enjoy a cigarette. Tonight was the first time I’ve missed work since last January. However, I am pretty lucky. I have Patrick and he’s the best nursemaid I’ve ever had. Yesterdays
I am home alone for the first time in months. It’s a nice feeling. I could pick my nose if I wanted to and there would be no one around to say ewww! At the moment, I am unshowered, wearing yesterday’s makeup, and still in my PJs. It feels so nice.
