I moved Yossi into 6-9 month size clothes yesterday. I should have done it a few weeks ago, honestly. The kid is pretty big -- he even fits into some 12 month size items. I've decided his new nickname should be King Kong.

I took Yossi for a checkup today. He came in at 14 lb 15.2 oz and 25" long, which means he continues to be huge for his age. The doctor also asked about some developmental stuff, checked his eyes, ears, heart rate, etc. and pronounced him to be in very good health ( Read more... )

The fall in barometric pressure ahead of a storm seems to make my 2 oldest kids go completely bananas. Someone suggested recently that we install a barometer in the house, and I really think we ought to. It might help explain why certain bouts of crazy happen.

One thing I noticed early about Yossi was that he hated being in a wet diaper. Even if it was only a little wet and only for a minute, he wanted to be changed RIGHT NOW, and as a result he went through a lot of diapers. Yossi's on the cusp of starting to laugh. I heard him chuckle once at OS last night and then he did it again to Walt this morning.

* Believe it or not, Yossi's about to get teeth. Two of them on the bottom, to be exact. He got mad about something last night, and while he was howling I saw something funny on his gums and started investigating.
