This weekend was really rough. I went out to see my grandma in New Mexico. It was probably the last time I will ever see her. She was in severe pain and was fairly feeble.
I did get to see several cousins that I haven't seen in a while, so that was interesting.

I feel somewhat homesick.
I never get homesick. Last time it happened, and the only other time it has ever happened, was the first weekend in Romania, and then there was a plethora of good reasons for that to happen. -
A Reflection on Recent Criticism of the History Channel

With the announcement of the release of "new" censored editions of Mark Twain's work being released on February 15th, and the anger that these new editions have caused, I thought that the 15th would be a good day to protest the censorship of works of art. The semester is about to start back up. I'm not particularly looking forward to it. I've had absolutely no energy since finishing my finals. I feel like the end of last semester fried my brain. I'm done with my cultural theory final, I simply have to turn it in tomorrow morning. I am somewhat worried about how it will be received. I've decided I need to work on improving my prose for writing in anthropology. I do technical stuff alright, but it is usually just straight forward simple stuff. I am looking at possibly having to write in a more narrative and descriptive style for some research, and I want to be able to do that better.
