Ironed three shirts this morning, lifted weights. Drank my coffee. Sitting on the el feeling like, as Peter Gomes would say: "suicide or murder." Hoping Dionne Warwick will cheer me up enough to circumvent suckerpunching a member of the dining public this evening.

Beyond Gothic Gloom
A weekend, or a short week for contemplation and healing. Framed our gorgeous cubist dog painting today, bought a new suit yesterday. Saw amadea and the three of us ate sushi together. Off to St Louis in ten hours. Airport-based travel being what it is, I'll spend three hours getting ready to fly, an hour in the air, and then I'll touch down, in a city I know nothing about.
