A million years ago, when I (sort of) finished Harry's room at #4 Privet Drive, I promised that when the final touches were added, I would post more pictures. Well, it's been an entire year and a half, and I'm finally getting around to posting them! My apologies, y'all. I'm very lame. ( Come on in and see the pictures! )

It's so well put together, Robin! You really get a sense of the character looking at it, the way it's a bit disordered, the things that are laying out where they may have just been used. (Harry and I seem to have an inability to be tidy while working in common!)

We saw Queen Mary's Dolls House at Windsor Castle when we were there. Other than the fact that her dolls' were "finer" - stuff like really silver plates on the dining table - none of the rooms had this kind of detail, or the sense that anyone really lived there. Well, other than the tiny chamber pots under the butler's and maid's beds. (I noticed there was no Royal "throne" room!)

Thank you very much indeed, my dear! It still makes me happy, every day, to look at Harry's room and sort of get lost in it. There's a lot of me in my interpretation of Harry, lol... the messiness is definitely a projection of myself as well as my idea of how Harry might be. I loved doing all the knitting for Harry, too. :-D

OMG, I'm so jealous that you got to see Queen Mary's Dolls' House!!!!! I've longed to see that for years upon years. I've seen pictures, and it's just... "magnificent" doesn't even come close, does it? Just incredible. One day, I swear, I'm going to get there to see it!

This is so amazing! I especially like the orrery and the miniature tarot cards. Great job. :)

Thanks, darlin'! That orrery took about forever to make, because it has so many itty-bitty parts, and it's all metal, and the only thing I could find that would successfully stick metal to metal was SuperGlue, so I kept gluing my fingers to the individual itty-bitty parts and pulling the wretched thing apart. But it finally came out, and I love the detail of it! I would never have thought of using jewelry findings to make something so beautiful; Ericka van Horn is a genius.

Thanks! I've got plans for several other projects, but no room for them yet. But I suspect Harry's room may always be my favorite, because it was inspired by so much love for the source.

The cricket bat's ALL about Dan. I think he would approve! :)
