Well firstly I would like to say that I use several different computers, some windows (for gaming), some linux (mostly for servers) and Mac OS X (which has become my main desktop). I completed the Oath Ceremony and am now 100% fully a US Citizen.

Just wanted to give everybody an update on getting U.S. Citizenship. My Naturalization Oath Ceremony is Wednesday August 15th.

As some of you know, I have been working on getting U.S. Citizenship. Today was my big interview which included a Civics/U.S. History test. I seem to have passed with flying colors. Now I'm just waiting for the oath ceremony, and then I will be a U.S. Citizen.

Now before I go any further let me assure you I have professional grade UPS protection on all my computers, etc. The computer in question has a 4 battery UPS. The Linux box my main server which was my whole networks everything, DHCP, DNS, firewall/router, etc died. There was a power outage for maybe 20 - 30 minutes and the machines on the ( Read more... )

As many of you may have looked at my wife journal (mrsnmo) I got her a nice present. I got her a 24 inch iMac. The Intel Mac's are a lot different than my G5. A lot of new programs bundled in, etc. The screen is so nice, just like every other Apple screen. I swear Apple makes the best looking screens in the world. Well I got my Nintendo Wii today. Then immediately went out and got more games. The total amount spent on this toy so far is around $700. In relation to Work. I had my meeting with the Call Center Director. I got the "verbal" write up removed from my record. I also think we had a very good discussion on some general issues. Hopefully things will improve. I have also put in a few applications for some other jobs at the same company.
