giving up on Virginia
I've pretty much given up on Virginia, and see it as merely a matter of time before I am back in New England. I gave it a good effort, and I am finally starting to make friends in the area, but it isn't home and it never will be. I am inexplicably hungover today. I had two glasses of wine with dinner last night, and today I am so useless that I can't even edit my own work. How did that happen? From just two glasses? I must be losing my touch. I'm not sure if I will be able to make it to my knitting group tonight. I might need to just go home and go to sleep! -

Here are the specs on my new camera. One of the coolest things is that because it's just a digital version of the 35mm I have had and loved for years, all of the equipment (lenses, etc.) are interchangeable. I love playing around with photography and it was a hobby of mine for years. I can't wait to get started with it again!

Baldurrising hopes to replace Congress with ostriches. I bet that would be an improvement. I mean, ostriches are at least edible, which makes them not quite useless.

More family stuff
My grandmother was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gerhig's disease). I don't know much about it, other than it will paralyze her one body part at a time until she dies from it. Between that and Grosspapa's being so sick, I am very worried about my mom. She is the only person there taking care of them - and there's no one there to help take care of her.
