Why is everyone being all weird about what happened? Can't you just explain it without being vague?

Sometimes this place will turn you into things you don't want to be. Sometimes you'll remember, sometimes you have to dig to find out why people are yelling at you since they won't tell you what's going on explicitly.

The harsh truth for you was that you were living a reality in which I, in another time and place, successfully won the war. You became a camp for me, it seems from what I read.
