So along the lines of things that came out while I was busy with work:

Freakin' 4th edition. Next thing you know someone's going to revamp Chez Geek...

Are you surprised? The kings of the collectible card game have figured out how to make table-top games "collectible".

Surprised? No. Shocked that I didn't hear about until now. Yes.

I guess I'm surprised that one of my gaming buddies haven't tried to engage me in conversation about it.... some friends you are.

Well, I didn't hear about it until this past weekend... and my reaction was meh. Then again, the only active game I'm part of, we're still playing 2nd Ed.

Well there's at least two (maybe three) games that I'm involved in that would likely accept a 3rd edition player (and plenty of people who would make a character for you).

Wow. I'm such a D&D geek.

Yeah, I saw this too, and realized that it, like the new V:TeS sets, will go unpurchased by me. I will become one of the those old, grizzled gamers clinging to their old editions.

I might forgo purchasing it.... assuming I don't get as a "gift" from my internet "gaming buddies". Hey, I won't be picky - I'll take the PDFs even if they don't have bookmarks and are a pretty crappy scan. A sourcebook is a sourcebook.

Shhhh! Noboby on the internet obtains stuff illegally, don't you know?

Plus, its not so much about buying... as learning new rules. *sigh*
