So today was actually day 2 of my trip to San Francisco -- which I claimed was my first, but realized that I'd actually been before -- and it was fantastic.

There is nothing quite like finding a word you have never ever seen before, but is quite delicious. Anne Fadiman has an article about it in her book Ex Libris: Confessions of a Common Reader, which I of course recommend to all my reader-y friends (you know who you are).
