I've been crocheting for a month or two now and I thought I might try going it alone and making my own pattern. Well, this is sort of a combination of altered parts from about 3 patterns mixed with some bits I've made up myself.

I found this awesomely cute free pattern here and gave it a try. I was supposed to use lighter weight yarn for the paler parts of the monkey and as such, mine are larger than they should've been, but I still think the finished monkey is pretty cute. :)

A Mario-style shroom. :D If you can't tell how tiny it is by my hand, approx height is about 2cm.

I found this pattern pretty hard because a) it's very small and b) it requires a lot of shaping but I finally managed it! :) I don't have any eyes yet so I darned them in with black yarn and a needle.

Well I've been working on a larger project which is a penguin but I'm waiting on some felt before I can finish him up so today I sat down and made this amigurumi bunny from this pattern.

I made it with a smaller gauge than it said, also my yarn is really poor quality acrylic I got free from somewhere, hopefully I'll be getting some better yarn ( Read more... )
