Whinge
is a UK variant (though they pronounce the G, which sounds weird), wine is something you drink, and winge is not even a word!

either of the first two would be fine. australians would say either whine or whinge.

No, I say whine. But I have been seeing non-brits say whinge and winge. Wine I threw in there just to have a fourth answer.
