Spent another hour reading The Linguistics of British Sign Language but still less than half way through.

Changed my back tyre, chain and cassette.
Getting the old tyre off was a pain. Ended up cutting the bead to get it over the rim. Thought I was just being crap. Pulled the tube out just leaving pulling the remaining bead off the wheel. Always an easy job. Nope. Had to cut that bead too. Don't know how the manufacturer got them on in the first place ( Read more... )

Measured up for a drilling jig to drill holes for moveable shelves.
Worked out that if I do it this way I'll be drilling 900 holes. Eep!

Trimmed down some bits that I'd miscalculated.

The holes in the bottom piece I'd managed to gouge with the grub screw didn't line up when I turned it around. Re-drilled the holes to line up.
Spent some time reading the sign language book.

Drilled the holes in the left ends a little deeper too.

College: describing rooms and how things (walls, windows, furniture etc.) are positioned.

Drilled the holes in the right hand ends of the shelves and base supports a couple of mm deeper to ensure I don't get any joints refuse to close up due to dowels being too long for their holes ( Read more... )
