I have to say that I am very dissatisfied with the present management of the unit. We got a new manager this year who had been running the stepdown unit for NICU. Now she runs Peds as well. Life is pretty good. I ate the first rasberry off the bush and the blueberries are almost ripe. Friday we get out of town to see my family at the OR coast. It will be so nice to get away for a bit. Seeing our godson and everyone else is just a bonus. Hope the weather is as nice there. Yes, life is good.

It's been a rough week with lots of ups and downs. I guess I should feel lucky it's slow at work and I got the first 4hrs off today. Spending a little extra time with Kyle and family is always nice. I am ready for the work week to be over. 2 days in charge and probably floating tonight. We have had way too much psych-social fallout over here lately. Sometimes in nursing its hard to know where to draw the line. Found out that my aunt and godson will not be moving out this summer. Instead they will be moving to Korea to live as my Uncle will be there another year (army). It's good for them as they will see him sooner and he won't be in Iraq anytime soon. It severly depresses me though, since I was really looking forward to having them nearby again. I arrived in Boise on Friday and my dad picked me up. We rushed back to the Capitol to see if the legislature would finish that day. They didn't.
