I didn't really make a list of New Year's resolutions this year. But I have had something of a list in my head. I've also been keeping a mental list of places I ought to visit in London. And I keep on meaning to actually get them in writing, if only to cross things off them

I think I read somewhere that one of the reasons sleep is so important is that it gives your spine a chance to recover from a day of being compressed by gravity and all that

I work in what's probably called an intelligent building. It does have some clever features - like motion sensors instead of light switches, so that the lights go off when no-one's home

It occurred to me that I should perhaps be doing something more constructive with my days off today when I realised that the most strenuous decision which I faced today was whether to buy a new pair of headphones from Amazon.co.uk (and thus have to wait a day or two for them to be delivered) or to spend £4.32 more and get them now in Argos.
I think my 1st gen iPod may have seen its last days as a music player. The headphone socket is pretty much unusable, so I think It'll have to be relegted to a handy portable hard drive.
This means I'm now very tempted by ( one of these )
Note to self: when you see a job ad that looks interesting, don't think I'll apply for that next week, because when you get around to it you'll have missed the closing date, and you'll feel like a bit of an idiot.
It's dead handy living across the road from a cinema. It means when your flatmate decides he quite fancies the look of that dodgy American teen comedy that you've just seen advertised on the telly, you're a mere minute (and six quid) away from finding out just how mediocre it is!
