I have new years resolutions, apparently.
1. Save more. I didn't realize how spendthrift I was. I didn't realize one should save minimum 10% of one's paycheck. I didn't realize this until verrrrrry recently. I am doing MUCH better.
2. Exercise. Do it. I haven't registered yet but I will be running the ZOOMA Annapolis Half Marathon this June. I will. Yes. Also, I do yoga twice a week. I ( Read more... ) -

I just moved into my new apartment. My mom and I fought the other day but this morning she offered to come help me move/see my new place so I agreed. I was hoping somehow this activity would be a sort of cathartic bonding experience. We went to a consignment shop and bought a nice set of used dishes. update on my life to whoever still reads this
I broke up with Eric. A few weeks ago. I know. This is huge.
I still don't have a 'real job' and apparently epidemiology is the only medical field not growing over the next 10 years (see recent New Yorker article).
I have been living in Norwalk, CT with extended family for the past 3 months but will be returning to MD very very soon.

Spent 5 nights
aboard the Queen Mary 2.
Traveled north from NYC - the clattering metropolis -
a day at sea, exploring the ship.
Toured a brewery and learned maritime history in
misty Halifax,
Nova Scotia.
On the 4th, the ship was in the port of Boston;
saw six simultaneous fireworks shows
from the uppermost deck.
