I think, when I was with the carnival, I felt more human than I ever did when I was alive.

When I was alive I'd have probably let someone talk me into covering my ears and filing my teeth down to make me be normal, but it was...different. I knew I was accepted how I was, so I didn't feel like I had to be something else.

With Inara gone, I was wondering if I could start helping out on the infirmary staff? I'm not a doctor or anything, but I'm sure I could handle some things so the doctors don't have to worry about it, like bringing the patients food or taking inventory or something like that.

Really, if vampires must drink blood, I don't think it's terribly safe to get us used to drinking human blood. Wouldn't it make more sense to at least have us drink something that tasted...I don't know, like duck blood?
