With summer coming to a close, I realized that I’ve done absolutely nothing enjoyable.  I reduced my hours so I could have more free time, but instead, I spend many days just lounging around- which is perfectly fine too.  And, I’ve spent far more money than I anticipated. I went to EMU’s job fair today.  Of course, I didn’t find a job, but I didn’t expect to find one there.  I just got a mountain of information from a bunch of schools and spent most of my time trying to avoid standing in line.  As expected, the lines for Michigan recruiters seemed to stretch for miles, while most other booths had minimal lines.  I ( Read more... )

I’ve been regularly substitute teaching for about two months now, and I greatly enjoy the extra money I made.  In January alone, I brought home an extra $800.  The job is easy, and there’s very little expected of me.  I’ve had some days where I went there and did almost nothing except take attendance and tell the students what their real teacher ( Read more... )

For the first time ever, I put money into online poker.  I deposited the minimum $50 since I finally got my credit card back.  I’ve been playing $1.25 tournaments at Full Tilt, in which you can win $4.25 for finishing in first place out of nine people and smaller amounts for second and third place.  I finished first in three tournaments after I ( Read more... )
