there's at least one day a year that you're supposed to feel special and loved...it's supposed to be your day....your birthday. somehow this day seemed anything but happy and special. I spent most of the day feeling lonely, overwhelmed, and deserted. Maybe another day will be my special day this year.

life sometimes feels like a mockery. people pretending to be happy. pretending to have it all together. pretending to understand. pretending to be interested. pretending to really care. it's sad to think that it takes so much more effort to pretend...but we rather pretend than be our real selves?
