It's not a myth! Girton really does have black squirrels! They're apparently only found in Canada, the US... and Girton.

I'm just starting 3rd year and this is the first time I've seen one, so I just assumed people were making it up before... Sorry. :) Perhaps I was on the wrong side of college before.

It was indeed taken in Girton: the taker is a work colleague who lives down the road from me. I get black squirrels in my back garden too, sometimes. It'd not realised we were uniquely blessed, though.

Oh, I didn't know you lived in Girton! Except we don't live in Girton any more, so that's much less exciting now than it would have been 12 months ago.

I used to see black squirrels all the time. I found a dead one once, but Emp said they weren't rare enough for me to be allowed to keep it in the freezer until I found a zoologist who was interested.

There was a poster outside the Girton Co-op a while ago, asking people to do exactly that. They were asking people not to actively hunt them down though. ;)

I dunno, it's been a week of my finding out that c=legends are actually true (there really is a climbing wall in the bottom of 'binson, well, okay, so the weights room as rocks stuck to the wall, but it counts!)

And yes, we should meet up. Everyone else has gone to Girton already :(
