It's now a month and a half since we moved into the new house in Waikanae. We're slowly getting sorted but the cold weather has somewhat hindered this as the downstairs floor is yer basic concrete slab and so the area is colder than a witch's refrigerator. Currently writing from a beach front villa (read "somewhat elderly bach") as we have left the confines of Johnsonville for the beauties of the Kapiti Coast. We're in Otaki Beach for a month then we move to the new house we bought last weekend in Waikanae!. V. v. excited. Go us ( Read more... ) -

In other news...
Had another midnight run to A&E last night, returning home all codiened-up at around 4:30am. It definitely is gallstones, and a rather ratty gall bladder, according to the tech who did the ultrasound scan last Thursda, but the blood tests show it isn't infected, which can make it difficult to remove. The news last night was all about the Rickards/Shipton/Schollum (rhymes with Gollum, hmmmm....) acquittal and the Dom this am is all over what a farce the criminal justice system is. Well, it is. Strange booksale
So, I go in search of the book this morning. The plan - take She Who Might Just Hit Me If I Say Wobbled Again and a visiting friend into work, then drop into a bookstore and get a copy fresh out of the box.
