Oh, most of this is tremendously funny, but She remembers that her immediate reaction had been to let go, but that he'd threaded his fingers through hers and held on; when she'd looked over at him in surprise, he'd just looked away with this tiny quiet smile that she couldn't translate. put a lump in my throat. Agh. Wonderful!
