A good read! I would be really interested in more sobre perceptions of raves too. It's something I feel weird even thinking about going to. Except for the dancing part :) ...And I have to say the youngest person I ever remember meeting in that scene was 15 year old Mia! Aside from her...maybe a 16 year old? 14! God going to a school dance was nearly nervewracking at that age. Then again...small town and school. It's hard to tell if I've just become less sheltered or the world is in some rapids of the river of change. And Denny's <3 I've wanted to do a hallucinogen for years...since I last did whenever that was! Oh and, my parting thought is...you should rock some green with that hair and eye color :P
Funny Rob, but I feel like I've gotten to know you even more now via the interwebz than I ever really did during our peak raving days. It's extra exciting to think of coming back to Phoenix because of that! I'm not sure I know heaps of people there now.
I hope something inspires you on New Years enough to write mas!
Thank you! I was sober for Mary Xmas last year. I was only 2 months out of prison and still on parole, being drug tested and whatnot. I had a BLAST. Danced all night and hung out with many peeps from the old crew. It was like a reunion and I had SO MUCH FUN, but I wasn't really inspired to write about it. Nothing of real gravity had taken place, it was just good times
( ... )
Sounds like an amazing experience! I really wish I could have gone, but it sounds like you had a much needed surrealistic experience from it instead. :D
