So, I finished my clinical and then I sat at home for two weeks getting my head together and waiting for a job to fall into my lap. Last week, a job fell into my lap, and I just finished my second shift at the Dorchester retirement community half an hour ago. Well, I've finished my month long, full time UNPAID practicum and Kelowna General. It went really well despite the fact that I wasn't making money (I actually PAID 900 dollars to take it), and the fact that I was on a floor that I didn't really want to be on. Today, I stepped on the scale just like I do obsessively every morning, and was shown a number that means I've reached my first goal! I've lost 10% of my original body weight! Not 10% of my goal total weight loss, but 10% of my body is gone! Vanished! w00t! Tres happy. When I lose 20% of my body, I'll buy myself a new lululemon hoodie. My mom keeps ( Read more... )

Yesterday, Nathan and I took a special, albeit, short roadtrip with another couple to find the most magnificant ice cream in the Okanagan. Today was such a great day. The sun is shining, I've handed in my term paper, I've done a final and I've even had the time to have a birthday lunch with my lady friends.
