i think i've lost my mind. in 24 hours i managed to a. lose my wallet, b. kill my car battery by leaving my lights on while at class, and c. lock car and apartment keys in the car much too late at night. seriously. teary message from my mother, she is being let go from her 10 year stint as a macy's customer service representative. it's kind of a silly job, but the first one shes had after taking 15 years off for kids, and the only one she has ever had to support herself on. finding a job, gaining independence, was a huge thing for her during the divorce ( Read more... )

just finished watching the diving bell and the butterfly which was beautiful and one of the most moving films i've seen in a long time. i can't imagine what life would be like communicating by blinking one eye, but i did feel a connection to "locked-in syndrome" through my rather intense introversion at times. i went to a cute show in providence ( Read more... )
