Finishing up CGSC. At the end of the course you get to take one month elective classes. Because we are off to Hawaii and I will be working throughout the Pacific I took a class on Asian-Pacific Issues. The instructor, LTC Finney, is an Australian exchange officer. Just trying out my new (slightly used) computer. Kinda cool. Uses Linux and has "Shane" written on it. Works pretty good.

 I was watching "The Matrix" today and I relaizied that I was so happy I took both the boys to see it at the theater. I don't know if either fully understood what they saw, or what possibilities it opened up. I with Mer had been there.

I have gotten word on my next assignement ... Hawaii. The problem is that I do not have orders. Without orders, it is just a possibility. I have to look at it in terms of percentages. It is a 75% probability that I will get the assignment. This means that I can plan for it but if I get my hopes up too much I could get them squashed. So I wait. But ( Read more... )
